Plain Dandy Rolls
The plain dandy roll is an open wire cylinder usually placed on a Fourdrinier paper machine at the end of the wet section. Its role is to improve the quality and surface of the paper and allowing the reduction of the starch consumption by compression and shearing the fibers and so avoiding the paper breaking during its formation.
It is covered with smooth wove covers with very strong and invisible diagonal seam. These are of different qualities depending of the applications and effects needed.
The RT dandy roll, known for its reinforced structure and strength, insure the highest quality and consistency of the sheet formation on the whole width, especially requested for thin and special papers like cigarette paper, décor and luxury paper or board.
Beside the dandy roll, RT manufacture the complete system for avoiding the water splashes induced by the process and eliminate the drops or spray before arriving on the paper web. It is composed of the following elements:
- One frame supporting the roll

- One open hood and collecting tray

- One easily removable cleaning device and steam tube
Marking Rolls (Laid Dandy Rolls)
These rolls are applying a mark directly integrated in the paper during the sheet formation in the wet section by reorientation of the fibers according to a predetermined design, offering a brand identification and added value to the paper or a security against fraud.
Watermark Roll
Used for writting and security papers, the watermark roll is made with a dandy roll base cylinder or a cylinder mold. Electrotypes are seamed on the bronze top cover allowing very thin and crisp light images in the paper.
Embossed Roll
Used for writting and security papers, the watermark roll is made with a dandy roll base cylinder or a cylinder mold. The top bronze cover is embossed according to the design allowing light and shadowed or half tone images in the paper.
VPRT Roll
The VPRT roll is mainly used for cigarette paper application with a distinctive longitudinal marking. It is made of circular hollow rings on witch thin wires are laid through holes drilled on it.
Plate Laid Dandy Roll (VPCE and twined warps)
The plate laid dandy roll is mainly used for luxury and writing paper. It is made from a dandy roll cylinder or a cylinder mold on witch a top top cover with the VPCE or twined warps designs
It is possible to combine the different markings with addition of electrotypes on embossed, VPRT, VPCE and twined warps rolls.
